  1. already got them makes some things way easier, that had to be done with routing and delay before. very practical and convenient to manipulate stereo with those.
  2. is the song playing? do you hear the audio, even when the waveforms are not displayed? i had this errormessage a few times in the past. the song played fine and i just used the "recalculate waveforms" (or similar) and saved again. most of the time it cured the error and the waveforms where visible again. mathias
  3. you're welcome. but that's weird, with the autoupdate. should give you the actual one. some users reported in the past, that autoupdate just didn't work for them, so the website and download of the actual patch could be the route to go.
  4. hi, the newest patch samplitude pro x is have you been on the magix pro audio page in your account? i followed your upgrading thread and the "consumer" versions of the magix software are handled on other accounts than the pro versions. check here: http://pro.magix.com/de/support.78.html and choose samplitude/sequoia you can try with your email and password from the other account. if this does not work, contact support. afaik many plugins got updates to 64 bit, but not all until now. best, mathias
  5. when you set a range of appropriate length and cut the object ( in crossfade mode), you can avoid the crossfade to happen and get fades at the objectborders. when you finetune the crossfadelength in relation to a specific range, you will get the cut side by side fading out and in. this together with a saved rangelength, which can be recalled with a shortcut, should make it pretty fast. like: set playhead, get range via shortcut, cut
  6. hi, you talked about ranges ... are you aware, that you can make "objects" from the imported file? you can use your already created ranges for that: choose range, press T (or maybe S, don't know if the english version of samp has different keys for that) and the range is cut on both sides into an object. then make yourself familiar with what you can do with objects: you can group them like you want and need, move them to another track as group ... every object or group of objects can have its own effectschain, auxsend etc. this is before the trackeffects/mixer in signalrouting. this way you should be able to complete your task pretty elegant. for testing, make yourself a copy of your vip, where you can mess around a little, to get to know the possibilities. have fun, mathias
  7. why don't you just update the rme driver? go to the rme website and download the driver. it is an installer and will update, when you start it. then restart your computer and see if your problem was driverrelated. http://www.rme-audio.de/en_downloads.php?page=content/downloads/en_downloads_driver&subpage=content/downloads/en_downloads_driver_uc do the driverupdate first and then do the flashupdate of the fireface firmware (hardwareupdate) good luck
  8. just a shot in the dark, as there is no info about your configuration: could be that the soundcard driver has a different setting and samplitude can not set it, as it needs. check your sounddriver-configuration dialog, if the samplerate is the same as the projects. what driver model do you use? asio? try to set it manually if it differs from the project. mathias
  9. i think you are right, that it is bound to sam pro x suite. i would try to sort this out with pro support, maybe they can offer you a personal solution. mathias
  10. when you only need pitch-correction, this is doable without elasticaudio. just cut your region over all tracks, group the objects, select apply to all in the objecteditor and then do your pitchcorrection in the objecteditor (there are different algorithms to choose from). pitch will then be changed in all grouped objects.
  11. not in a way of copying settings or similar. there was a thread about it some time ago, which described a workaround. i think the idea even came from support, but i can't remember. the trick was, to copy the first track, where you did your corrections, as often as you need it (in your case four times) and then changing the reference to the wav-file in the object editor (it is on the second page (fades)) to the ones that are on the other four tracks. this way you get the elasticaudio settings working on the other files. i hope this is understandable ... mathias
  12. to do this forumplace justice ... all of the samplitudeplugins we get for free with the program are great! from time to time i do some mixes only with the builtin tools and as mentioned above, they get the job done! but everyone needs some stuff to play around with, with nice colours or magic mojo or whatever ... keeps us happy and lively, even when the simple tools get the job done as well ... /end of philosophy mathias
  13. "Toneboosters Flex" swiss army knife for 15€. if you need some special treatment for specific frequencies. absolutely transparent, when used with care. and for free: some of the freewareplugins from "variety of sound" are incredibly good. my favorites: ThrillseekerLA, BaxterEQ, TesslaPRO mk2, ThrillseekerVBL (released today, needs some more testing, first impression is good). mathias
  16. @rme hdspe aio i don't have experience with this particular card, but with other rme interfaces. they all work great and never failed here. rme is known for its quality and stable drivers, and they support their products for a long time. what you are searching for, i would call digital interface. the hdsp aio has all different formats (except madi and other special multichannel formats) and you can extend it later on with ad-converters of your choice. additionally it has a good stereo ad converter, which you can compare to your apogee and go with what sounds best for you. and the price is great :-). on the softwareside rme interfaces in general come with a great tool called totalmix, which can help a lot with monitoring and routing of the cards inputs and outputs. and on top of that you get digicheck (download from the website), with great meteringoptions for level, stereoimage and spectrum. as a pcie card it is bound to desktop computers (or whatever you would call the big/stationary machines ) and is not usable as portable interface with laptops for example. if this may be a potential usecase, i would look for a portable usb interface, that gives you the digital ins and outs you need, plus some micpres and ad/da convertors in decent quality to make rcording on the road easy and fast. rme has options here too. regarding samplitude, every quality interface with stable asio drivers should work with it. best would be to test an interface with your machine and samplitude, to be sure. mathias
  17. what do you want to do with it? recording with mics, instruments, ...? how many channels at the same time? mathias
