Samplitude 9 Time-stretching And Pitch-shifting

Recommended Posts

I wish to know wich algorithm is being used in Samplitude 9 for the time-stretch and pitch-shift.

With :

- Sonar 6 using iZotope's Radius (http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/radius/)

- Cubase 4 using a better or equal quality version of the DIRAC (http://www.dspdimension.com/data/html/dirac.html)

- Pro Tools 7, with the recently announced X-Form (http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?langid...p;ref=xform-fhp)

I was wondering, if Samplitude 9 is a quality tool for time-stretch and pitch-shift ?!

With AudioSnap is Sonar 6, and an improved AudioWarp with a new algorithm (I mailed Steinberg France) in the upcoming Cubase 4, I hope that Samplitude 9 can do the job without a third-party tool.

Let me know .

I havent seen 9 yet as it is brand new however I can tell you that alot of people have had issues with the pitch correction in elastic audio. My self it has been pretty much unuseable. On the flip side there is talk that they may have remedied this in 9. Keep your ear to the ground to see how it works out.
