sfcprw Report post Posted July 22, 2020 When I open a VIP, I press the "Play" button and it takes 5 seconds before it starts playing. During playback, ever so often it stops playing. It's almost like a hole is in the mix but the full waveform is intact and it starts playing again. Sam has crashed several times since installing it and each time I do the email through the program and never hear back after the initial email stating that I will hear from Support. Has anyone had this problem? I'm using Magix Samplitude Pro X5 Suite version 16.0.2.31 (DP3), Win 10 Pro in a Dell Dual Processor T5600 with 64 GB of memory and two two TB SSD's, one for OS and one for data. I use RME HDSP 9652 sound cards and Apogee Rosetta 800 converters.
udap Report post Posted July 22, 2020 sounds strange: does that affect all VIPs you load or just a special one ? And did this suddenly come as a new, surprising behaviour, without you having run a Win update or a Sam Update ? is your PC a Dell Dual Precision workstation (?) sfcprw Report post Posted July 23, 2020 It does it on a certain VIP. If I open an older VIP, it starts up fast. This is a new project originally recorded in ProTools Mac and sent from Venezuela to Texas. Both Win 10 Pro & Sam Pro X5 Suite were the current version. My computer is the Dell T7600 Precision Desktop Workstation.
sfcprw Report post Posted July 23, 2020 I just loaded a new project and when I play, it skips a lot. It starts playing and after a few seconds it skips a couple of seconds and then the audio comes back and then it does that all the way through the song. Clemens Report post Posted July 27, 2020 "This is a new project originally recorded in ProTools Mac" -> Did you open the project as AAF in Samplitude? Or how did you import it?
Acejohnson Report post Posted December 1, 2020 Having the same issue.. play back can be choppy and sometimes it will crash when trying to play recordings.. it will start playing for example the beat but when playing the recorded vocals and beat at the sametime choppiness gets worst and sometimes crashes.. david-p Report post Posted December 1, 2020 Dear Newish Members above, It might help folks here to diagnose your problems it you would describe your setup of Samplitude, yout computer, and the "sound cards" and other ancillary gear that you are using. See this sticky thread. There will be a solution! Best wishes, David
HHfallback Report post Posted December 2, 2020 sounds like what i get if i use the "magix low latency" driver .. or if i use bad settings for "Performance" and "extended buffer settings" (press Y then look for "system options") - these can get worse when live monitoring as also used im currently testing Samplitude 5,and have found the default ASIO settings work well for me (i then imported my settings from an earlier Sam4 test into sam5,she works even better!) Magix low latency driver is kinda ASIO4all - a fallback for when the supplied ASIO drivers for your card have a problem (or as a last resort if no ASIO drivers are available) ... My Coolanjello Report post Posted March 3 Did anybody figure out how to fix this. I'm having the same issue in Pro X5 but I open the exact same VIP in Pro X3 and the playback is fine.
