  1. Very nice Lukas great song and video and great vocalist (and great sound of course) Regards, Kraznet
  2. That tutorial was about how to access VSTi's rather than about recording. I'm not even sure it was ever possible to record using the Vita instrument keyboard. It would make more sense to use the virtual keyboard anyway if there is no access to a midi keyboard? Regards, Kraznet
  3. This is a tutorial to help those who are unfamiliar with using MIDI and virtual instruments. It basically shows you 3 different ways to insert VSTi plug-ins and choose the presets. Plus some troubleshooting tips in case you can't hear what you're playing. Regards, Kraznet

  5. Great work Phil sounds pretty epic!! Regards, Kraznet
  6. Sorry I didn't reply to your question I am somewhat busy at the moment. Although it looks like Sascha has replied anyway. Regards, Kraznet
  7. @Sascha Is/was the developer. I was thinking this a few weeks ago whether it was his new version of Ammunition. Regards, Kraznet
  8. Actually I discovered yesterday you can change the output configuration in the preferences. I set it to 16 stereo and restarted independence and now I have 16 stereo outputs. Regards, Kraznet
  9. Also I did some research on Kontakt and you can only use one midi port inside your DAW so it's the same as Independence in Samplitude. It seems that Kontakt and Independence both only allow extra MIDI ports in stand-alone mode. See this answer to a question from a Cubase user on the native instruments forum. Also the guy made the same suggestion to load extra instances of Kontakt if you need extra ports.
  10. It appears after investigation that only the stand-alone version of Independence supports 32 MIDI ports. Why do you need so many MIDI ports are you using multiple input sources? You should be able to use multiple instances of independents and assign them to different ports. Regards, Kraznet
  11. OK I just looked in the manual and it does say in fact independent supports 32 MIDI ports. Although so far I haven't found a way to enable them. Let me look into it and I will get back to you. Regards, Kraznet
  12. Independence doesn't support multiple MIDI ports. So are limited to 16 out. Every time you add a new patch it will be set incrementally to the next MIDI channel. The reason you're hearing everything at once is because your MIDI output in Samplitude is probably set to all. The best ways to create a multi-out instrument and then the midi inputs are automatically assigned. When setting up Independence try choosing the following setting: This should give you 16 tracks with each one routed to the different midi channel. Although my tests seem to show that Independence doesn't support 16 stereo audio outs. You will get 8 stereo and 8 mono using the setting I've shown you above. If you choose "All as Stereo" you will end up with 12 stereo tracks. Personally if you want multiple MIDI ports I would continue using Kontakt. Plus as far as I understand MAGIX will no longer develop Independence beyond its current implementation. Regards, Kraznet
  13. I'm probably going to make a follow-up to this tutorial as I've discovered a couple of methods to speed up the workflow. Also I will be using multiple tracks. Regards, Kraznet
  14. I'm glad you found it useful guys. I've been using this technique recently on larger projects (10 tracks) and it works pretty well although it's not the fastest method. Hopefully MAGIX will implement something which is less complex. The main thing that seems to be missing is that Samplitude isn't capable of embedding the tempo information into the audio would then make it more straightforward. Regards, Kraznet
  15. I'm a big fan of Soft Machine but I never saw them in their heyday although I had all the albums. I did see them at Ronnie Scott's in 2015 but obviously with none of the original members but it was a great show. plus I saw them in another venue in London about 18 months ago which was very enjoyable as well. Regards, Kraznet
  16. Thanks Phil I appreciate your concern. Health is all important and I'm glad I'm back on track so it seems. Regards, Kraznet
  17. Thank you guys I appreciate your support. I had a rough start the year with illness but I'm getting back on track finally. Regards, Kraznet
  18. "Tempo Smoothing" is the phrase I use when you take an audio track (or tracks) which wasn't recorded to click with a fluctuating tempo. I then tempo map it and ultimately "smooth" the tempo so it has a fixed BPM. Samplitude doesn't have tempo smoothing implemented but I worked out a way to do it. Warning!! it isn't a one click solution and involves a few steps to achieve this. If you enjoy probing into the inner workings of Samplitude you may enjoy this. But if you're in a hurry this it's a longish video just over 14 minutes so you may find this is not for you. This technique needs Samplitude Pro X3 or Sequoia 14. Regards, Kraznet
  19. I think he got put on the Soundforge/Acid Pro forum. I think I noticed him there. I'm not sure he ever posted anything other than that initial introduction. They ended up contacting me beginning of last year asking if I wanted to moderate which I said I would. I guess I was cheaper (free). I do my best to keep the Magix informed about things but it's more difficult now as most of my original contacts at MAGIX have moved on. Regards, Kraznet
  20. I produced this track for the Soul Immigrants last week. it's basically a tribute to Prince commemorating his passing 2 years ago. Edited, mixed and mastered in Sequoia 14. Video produced in Video Pro X 4K WMV. Drums, bass and guitar recorded live with vocal/guitar overdubs plus some extra instrumentation I programmed. There was zero budget and a tight schedule but I think considering it came out pretty well and was a lot of fun to do. Regards, Kraznet
  21. A little bit late but I made a tutorial showing how to do it. Regards, Kraznet
  22. Hi Emmanuel, Try inserting a short midi note in the midi editor that corresponds with the vowel you want to switch to and see if that works. That usually the way one uses key switches to change sounds during a track. Regards, Kraznet
  23. Hi @Evael Niden , Regarding the virtual this issue had been reported by a few users including myself. However there is a fix here if you look at this thread here : With regard to your unresponsive GUI I'm afraid I am unable to reproduce that and at this time not really sure what the solution would be for you. Regards, Kraznet
  24. I think you made the right purchase decision. I respect Garritan products very much. Also you can always use the Magix Vita String Ensemble which isn't too bad and I think it uses Kirk Hunter samples. Regards, Kraznet
  25. It's been fixed in the latest beta and will be in the next update ( I have no info when the update will be released) Regards, Kraznet
