  1. I have a stand alone version . I've had it prior to Magix purchasing Yellow Tools. I'm still on a Win 7 system and have lately been getting persistent nags to activate all products if I launch them offline. Each time I do activate it registers just fine. This used to happen every 6 months or so - now it is each time I use INDE - either stand alone or VST. I use it nearly exclusively outside of Samplitude PRo X2. Does anyone know of a way to remove these constant inquiry's to activate? I 've had a ticket into support for weeks with out any response.
  2. I don't believe there is a way to change the default, I wish i could default to +/_ 2 semi tones. It seems to default to 1 semi tone only. The video above appears to demonstrate how to change the default 1 semitone with in the modules.
  3. Ok - TEchnical support suggested a full un-install and re-install. I just ran the exe for library installation manager and it recognized the install and did a repair and all is fixed. Just a note for future reference. This is on a Win 7 pro OS.
  4. Bump - Anybody have any ideas? I have Independence 3.5 and I have removed and reset the library link to the image files directory. I am still getting a failed to find files dialogue when loading a program. When prompted to find files - I point to the image files requested by the file find and get failed to load pop-up. Nothing has changed from last I opened and used Independence from what I can tell. I did try to update to 3.6 about 6-7 months ago and switched back to 3.5. I believe I opened Inde up in Samplitude as well a few months ago, but tested it numerous times since as stand alone. I do have a separate license for Inde as a standalone.
  5. Hello all - This seems to happen every couple of years or so. I've again lost links to my INDE Pro sample library within Inde. I am still on a Win 7 System. I have Independence Pro as a stand alone purchase as well as a license for Samplitude Pro X 2 suite. I thought I recall a thread in the Forum that showed essentially how to re-link by clearing the libraries path with in Inde and re-establishing. I think this possibly re wrote the paths in the registry ? I primarily use Inde with another DAW and have had it licensed stand alone since way before Magix bought it. I keep getting the missing files dialogue when trying to load a program. Does anyone recall where this thread might reside? I've looked through the Independence forum and can't seem to find it. Any help is appreciated. I'm trying to avoid the chance of completely screwing up the install and having to re license from scratch. Thanks,
  6. Thanks for the link to version 3.5 - All is well aside from my general confusion :) 3.5 installed and followed my previous library path files with no issue. there was some confusion to file names - my earlier download had 3_2 in the file name. The install stated it was in fact 3.5 and though there was a flash of 3.3 at some point during the install - when all is complete 3.5 is reported on the preferences page in Independence. I think I'm up to date. I did try to remove and re-define the paths when attempting toget the 3.6 install to work. What was meant by point to image files is : in the case that the library paths are lost or messed up - As you load a program that points to the image files for samples - there is a dialogue that lets you "find " the image file. In the past I've been able to point to the relevant image files and the program was able to find the samples.
  7. Thanks all for the links above. It seems the last version available from " my account " download is version 3.2. I'll try the 3.6 version to see if it loads - thanks for the reminder to set a restore point. I really don't want to deal with the library download . I actually have 3 different sets of the library on dvd - and a pretty incredibly slow dsl connection. I'm hoping the software suite just replaces the existing install with no headaches. I looking forward to getting back vst hosting with in Inde. Are there any other improvements under the hood? It's really been pretty trouble free for me. 3.6 wouldn't work in stand alone mode - The library paths aren't recognized and when I point to the image files - I get a failed to open dialogue - I do wish that the download files section had some relevant information besides " Download " Oh well I'll try 3.2 again and hope it's really 3.5 under the hood. Thanks for the info.
  8. I found that with the 32 bit hosting, the major restriction I found was that multy out synths didn't seem to work - but most all with single stereo outs seemed to work fine. So to update to 3.6, does this require re-registering to update versions ? I'm concerned because I have both my Ind Pro version working for general VSTi as well as Samplitudes version working with in samp.... I don't want to to register and find that I can only work with Sampltude.
  9. Thanks Thomas - I was not sure if there a VST bridge or not - I'll look into specifically running 64 bit VSTs next time I run Inde.
  10. For a number of years I had been able to copy a few VSTI DLL to use with in Independence. I had an issue and needed to re-register Independence on a new daw. I though my issue might be that the VST PLug-ins folder used by Inde may have not appropriately point to the right place - but it seems it is pointing to the correct directory. Can anyone confirm that hosting with in Independence is working correctly? Also my older system was a Win XP system and my new one is Win7 64. Any thought to the idea that I may be having a problem because I'm in a 64 bit environment? Not sure if my VAST'is are 64 bit.
  11. My understanding is that Chicken systems translator was supposed to work with Independence - which should open up a lot of sample content. Is there no way Magix could create a program to convert files to Independence format? It would be a real selling point in my opinion to have a more or less open and resourceful sampler. I reach for Independence far more often than Kontakt whenever possible. It sounds great - mixes far better and tweaks far more easily than Kontakt.
  12. From what I gathered- It seems that Independence will not load multy timberal / multy output VSTI. It seems to work very well with any VSTI with stereo outs. To me this sets Independence well above the rest of the crowd.
  13. I use independence independantly from Samplitude, but in the Independence interface - each layer has a midi control panel on the left side, the switch for volume and panning is off by default in my program. Try to select the volume and panning widget and it should respond normally.
  14. Hello all, I can make and insert new midi files in independence layers - but I'm curious if there is anywhere I can access the midi files associated with some of the preset patches. A great new feature would be visual key note and octave reference via toggle switch on the Independence keyboard GUI. Also have a midi note learn feature during the sample import dialogue would be very handy. Is there an easy way to locate and audition the raw samples for the synth voices? I'd very much like to stack some of the synth samples but keep the modules intact for one of the presets. If I want for example change the default pitch bend or LFO settings - where do I save the changed defaults to. - I can't seem to keep track of their locations. A side note : It would be great if Magix would continue support and preset building for Independence. So much potential for new voicing with the existing sample content - Let alone of course building on the existing library. I have the full 70 gig library and I love it - but there's always room for new voice presets and seeing how other push the envelope.
