During my testings and demonstrations of Capstan (http://www.celemony.com/en/capstan) I learned to never work with headphones. This is something many people know already. What nobody knew before is that it's actually easier to detect the subtle flutter once I turn the speaker away from me than to sit in the sweet spot.

Fehler beim Export einer Surround 5.1 Mischung
mathis replied to Dr.Matzinger's topic in Deutsches Newcomer Forum
Pro Tools user checking out Samplitude

Click and drag the handle on the low corners on the sides of the objects. -
I usually ask for Quicktime files (DV-codec) and they work very well. I have experiences with 24fps and 25fps. But I'm in wonderful PAL land...

Du kannst einfach die Wave Datei auf zwei Spuren einladen und jeweils einen der beiden Kanäle stumm schalten (im Object Editor). Zum Stereofonieren verwende ich den ALgorithmix K-Stereo, geiles Teil.

Yes, that's right. In fact Samplitude is the only Windows program I know which doesn't write anything to the registry. So just delete the Samplitude program folder and your system is like before. There is really no risk in giving Samplitude a good check.
-
That's exactly what is possible in Sequoia.

I think it's a good idea. Quite similar to Sibelius where you move your workspace by grabbing and moving the manuscript "paper". In Samplitude it would mean to grab the lower half of an empty track and move the visible workspave of the VIP.

Samp is especially nice to rooms and verb, that's where you really hear the difference.

In my setup the Matrox P650 works great, but I'm using the Sequoia Video engine.

Have you tried reducing the hardware acceleration? Which graphics adapter are you actually using?
-
Your video display problems are related to directshow and are more a problem of your graphics adapter. Try updating all graphics drivers and directx. Next there is a checkbox in the Samp Medialink dialog wether you want to use directshow or not, experiment with that. Then try reducing the hardware acceleration in your graphic adapters preferences dialog. Yes, AVI container with DV as the codec works totally fine.

To set one detail straight: DV is a compressed format (around 5:1), but it is compressed frame by frame. any mpeg format is compressed in a group of pictures.
