  1. Yep, we never know what future may bring...
  2. Sascha, you're the man ! I hope that we'll be able to see/hear that happens in the not so far future (maybe H1 2011)... I also hope you'll have a take on a vintage tube EQ in the AM series, with some tranny and band interaction modeling . Anyway, thanks for the honest answer, that's really really appreciated. On a side note, did you had a look at Cakewalk Sonar X1 ? The interface layout and look is stunning, with the Smart Tools, Radius time-stretch and so on... The ProChannel seems to be really something too. Only the arrangement windows with the outdated piano roll graphics looks crap hehe... Maybe MAGIX can take note of that, looks clean, pro, and quickly usable. Added to that, if you've some analog summing algos in the works for Samp 12's mixer, that could really be something. Me, a dreamer ? Maybe...
  3. Hi Sascha, Is there any news about the supposed upcoming version of ammunition for PC VST. With the core update of the transient stage for more punch preserving while getting loud. You told about that earlier while doing a comparison with FG-X on another forum. Please keep us in touch, the cash is waiting...
  4. Hi Sascha, I was wondering if you're going to update the Analogue Modeling Suite sooner than later and finally include am|munition as a separate VST plugin. It would be cool to offer it with the suite, or as a separate plugin. Still waiting here ;-)... Thanks !
  5. Thank you for the clarification. I thought they would add some more in that area for the "Pro" users, like an enhanced player/editor, and a BIG quality library. I thank Cakewalk for this, as they added Dimension Pro for free to the Sonar 8 Producer Edition. MAGIX, please listen .
  6. Hi guys, As I plan to purchase Samplitude 11 Professional when released, and saw the news about the new and enhanced features, I have a question. I see that there are 3 virtual instruments shipped with it : Revolta 2, Beatbox 2, and VITA... So I made a search about these, and my question is about VITA. So it's a basic sample-player with no edition possibilities, and that comes with a VERY LIMITED soundset... But what about the sound of the instruments in VITA ? Are they crap, ok, good ? And what are exactly the included ones ? Thanks.
  7. Here are some details about the upcoming updated version of am-munition. Really interesting reply from Sascha . Lookin' forward to test this new beast when the updated version will be released with the international version of SAM10. And also to use it later in others sequencers too . Hi Julien, there's no real problem about v1.0 so far. The 'only' thing is that some guys that do mastering for a living had very fruitful comments and proposals on the thing that I tried to push it a bit futher. But this collided with the German release date on the half way, so I had to make a break there. While the German DVD went to processing at the plant, I continued the work and decided to change a few concepts at ammo's output stage (the clipper & limiter). I trashed the old clipper (including its pre- and post filtering) and reworked the entire limiter. That doesn't mean it's been useless before, I just wanted a bit more compatibility with common real-world tasks and a more controlled sound, more predictability. Meanwhile, the clipper is a dual-band type (adjustable per band), clips more gentle and the limiter is greatly improved in terms of smoothness and precision. The 'problem' (if any) is, that these steps change the entire sound of the unit (at least when you engage the master section). German users already familiar with 1.0 and having done serious projects, might have to re-adjust the settings, remix or remaster a job, which is sometimes close to unacceptable. This really bothers us, but we decided to take the challenge nonetheless, as the main goal is to create quality gear. The idea came up to give German users a second plugin DLL with the next update (which might be equivalent to the international code state). This version pops up as default, but previous projects will use the older version until users re-load an instance manually in the VIP. I'm pretty certain that this will come, though I don't know yet when & how. Maybe it's still part of the am suite VSTs, maybe a seperate product. But that's not up to me to decide that. When the main releases are through, we all need to see clear again, take a breath and might then decide how to carry on with our latest breed. [should these questions also come up in the English forum, feel free to cite this message in the public. No problem.] Cheers, Sascha
  8. Hello, I wish to know wich algorithm is being used in Samplitude 9 for the time-stretch and pitch-shift. With : - Sonar 6 using iZotope's Radius (http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/radius/) - Cubase 4 using a better or equal quality version of the DIRAC (http://www.dspdimension.com/data/html/dirac.html) - Pro Tools 7, with the recently announced X-Form (http://www.digidesign.com/index.cfm?langid...p;ref=xform-fhp) I was wondering, if Samplitude 9 is a quality tool for time-stretch and pitch-shift ?! With AudioSnap is Sonar 6, and an improved AudioWarp with a new algorithm (I mailed Steinberg France) in the upcoming Cubase 4, I hope that Samplitude 9 can do the job without a third-party tool. Let me know .
  9. Thanks, I'll wait your confirmation because maybe I'm strange but I can't use a software if I don't like the GUI (yeah I know that the most important things here are the features and the sound quality but when you compose and mix in the sequencer many hours in a day you need something who fit your eyes demand ). For now I use Cubase SX 3, but I need something more powered like Samplitude 9, with great built-in effects.
  10. Please someone show me what is the skin (GUI) of Samplitude 9 ? In the flash animations and the screenshots on the Samplitude website we can see many skins for the transport, or the sequencer view... So what's the "real" V9 skin. Let me know . Examples : The GUI that I want Another The last, ugly (in my view)
  11. Thanks for replying, I hope that later in the development plans, il will become true, maybe not for the EQ as you say but maybe for the limiter .
  12. Hello everybody, For my first post I'll put here an email I just sent to MAGIX and Sascha. I put it here because I can't post on the Samplitude related forum... Let me know what do you think about these suggestions .
