Submixes And Tracks Placement In Samp 9?

I finally got my Behringer BCF 2000 to work with Samp 9 thanks to the information in this forum. However, I cannot seem to make Samp 9 do what I need it to do. I am using the BCF 2000 in Mackie Control mode and the 8 fader strips only correspond to the first 8 tracks in Samp 9. What I want is to have those first 8 tracks be my submixes and other tracks that need automated mixing, but the submix arrangement will not allow that. It seems to me to be a silly limitation of this DAW, so hopefully someone can help me with a work around solution.
