Hi

I have a CDWriter listed as MASHITA-UJDA330 on a win2000 laptop. I can write CDRs at 8X but if I go into backup mode I get the blue screen unless I close sam7 down first. I am having the same problem on 2 different partitions and have no problems with sam6 or any other app. What should i do?

I also get a blue screen if I try to restore a samp backup from CDROM while sam7 is open or even try to access the CDROM in any way while sam7 is open

this happens on all my partitions, I'm sure it is not a hardware problem

You could try to restore the CD burning DLL's from version 6. But AFAIK you're the

first one to report problems with the new routines, everywhere else they seemed

to solve the problems.

Download the latest Point-CDR DLL update from the Samplitude site

(it's a bit older than the v7 one).

Locate the following DLL's in your windows\system32 or system

directory:

DLL*.DLL

STRING32.DLL

TTI32.dll

TTIC32.dll

move them to a save location (best by packing them, but they shouldn't be

overwritten anyway, since they're the newer ones).

Execute the DLL updater. This should place the older files there.

(Alternatively you could reinstall v6 into another directory to be sure you 've got

the same DLL's as before).

Regards,

Volker
