In sam7 if I try to "edit a copy of wave" the edits take place not in a copy but in the original file selected and thus change any VIP objects too. How can I correct this?

It's the original file, but the object now points to a copy of the wave data.

This way you can now edit this object without changing other objects,

which used the same audio region before.

I find this a bit confusing - the object that changed wasn't selected. On the contrary I was trying to make a copy of a wav file that would be reversed without affected any existing objects - what is the best way to do this?
