Basically yes: you insert the VSTi in any track as MIDI output device.

Now you also see this VSTi in any other track and can use it as well.

But it seems we've just found a problem here, which scrambles the MIDI output

in this case (especially with lots of MIDI events or large buffers), which will only

be fixed in the upcoming version 7.1.

This problem does not occur if you edit all voices in the same MIDI object

(on one single track) - which gives multi-timbral usage as well.

You also can freely assign any output channels from the VSTi device to any track,

if it supports more than one stereo out.

Regards,

Volker

Guest But...?

But is it possible to playback one sound of a VSTi like Kontakt while recording another?(at the same VSTi)

And can I monitor my MIDI-VSTi recordings including Effects, or do I just hera the effects after recording?

I think this is coming down the pipe...

I'm hoping this is implemented in 7.1, until then I will do midi in Cubase. <_<
