I have saved my files using all sorts of different methods, and still sometimes they save fine and then others even with the exact same procedure for saving them, the .WAV file has the same size and stats (bit, etc) but there is no waveform and there is no sound. Last night one step from completing a new mix CD ihave been working on for quite some time, i exported a copy of the file to make sure it wouldn't mess up the original and it saved fine. So i did the exact same thing with the real file and when i just opened it AGAIN, it lost ALL OF IT. No sound, no waveform, and close to two months worth of work pissed away in about 25 secs. I cannot figure out how/if it's even possible to reverser this process and get my .wav files back. Please, gOd, if ANYONE knows ANYTHING it would be soooooooooooo appreciated. Thank You

Hey, i've no problem admitting that it is the "keygen" based copy of Samplitude. But i also have no problem admitting that i'm no trust fund baby or upper middle class income earner. I do make a decent living though, and until i'm independently wealthy, i use as much discretion as i am allowed when making purchases that are over 1000.00 dollars. As i have seen this app on the internet, you're god damn right i d-loaded it, and the reason i did is due to the fact that sooooo many people had talked about this program as being the, THE BEST, hands down prog that money could buy. Well, i guess i could've listened to popular opinion and just forked over 1000.00 in HOPES of it being THE BEST prog, but we know what usually happens when we buy into what is popular as opposed to researching and buy into what is good. If it's the Keygen based aspect of this that is causing these problems, then good. As it stands right now i have already started putting money aside to buy this, like i have with Ableton 2.0, SoundForge, Acid, Reaktor, Sonar and Reason 1.01. I tried most of these out in very much the same way and decided that they were solid apps that individually had their own advantages. Ableton in that it IS a very complicated program with a great sound engine and can be incorporated into a DJ's work due to it's post editing features and unrivaled on the fly manipulation. Also in being that complicated i wanted an app that i wouldn't get bored with after six months use. Soundforge and Acid, though i have to admit in hindsight the sound from them is a cut below good, their ease of use and price point when i began computer based music simply made them a no-brainer. Reaktor for much the same reasons as Ableton in that it is something that i could continually work with and develop my own instruments material with and after six months time would not be collecting dust on a shelf. Sonar because i found the interface and logistics of use to be very straightforward and logical to the way i think (some that i have talked to say it sucks and is hard to use, and had i listened to them....). And reason for, well, obvious REASONS. But because i already had Sonar, and after getting my head into Samplitude and comparing it to Project 5, Samplitude has better sound and it's interface is far more along the lines of what i was looking for and thus it will be purchased as soon as i have the money saved. But forgive me if i am not about to throw down 1000 bucks sight unseen ( and i include demos when i say that cause often times they let you in but can't reveal their true potential due to the limitations ) after i heard from "everyone" that Cubase VST 32 was THE thing to have. I couldn't get into that app to save my life and all it did was make me frustrated with making music. Same goes for, though i didn't buy only heard, the greatly anticipated coming of the messiah.....Nuendo2 ??? I'll say that there would have been face-paint, molotov cocktails, and a two way ticket to Germany had i bought that. A lot of people did though, and i bet they wished they hadn't but then they hedged their bets on what others were merely speculating on that they thought SHOULD be a kick ass program. And frankly, for that kinda money, Steinberg needs to have beer and hookers included in the package to make me feel like it worth the dough and all the work i'll put in to getting it. But i DO feel like Samplitude is worth the money, now that i have tried it, and again if it's the keygen copy that is tweaking things then i am glad cause it was making me reconsider whether to purchase it or not. Thank you though for at least taking the time to stop and say something as opposed to not and snickering and thinking to yourself what a thieving little arrogant ass i was for posting my problem. Now that i have the info i need all i ahve to do is uninstall it gather a little more cash and be assured that when i purchase it that it IS EXACTLY what i think i am getting and then some.
