several possibilities...you have

The one I use is to point SAM at > PATH AND SKIN ->VST folder

to the folder where the .dll of your plugin is stored

Or you let the default setting and put the .dll of your

plugin into the folder > SAMPLITUDE > VST-DX

In Samp 6, you reach the PATH/SKINS by clicking the OPTIONS menu and choose SYSTEM - or just hit the shortcut [y]. In the appearing SYSTEM/GLOBAL AUDIO menu you'll find PATH/SKINS.

You can't have VST folders in Samp 6, because this version doesn't support VST plug-ins (although you are able to use them with the VST-to-DX-Converter you can download f.i. from the Samplitude-website).

I'm sorry I can't help you more, coz I've no idea how to tell Samplitude to accept the plugs. Me, I installed the plugs and when I opened Samp the next time, all the new plugs were detected and shown.
