OT: 1010LT 44 Pin Connector

Recommended Posts

I have been constructing a breakout rackmount panel for the Delta 1010-LT. After four attempts, I finally got the tech support team at M-Audio to send me the correct pinouts (they sent me the 1010, non LT (digital) version three times).

Anyway, the pinouts on the 15 pin connector has TWO SPDIF outputs, one labeled high and one low, and one SPDIF input. The actual included breakout only includes 1 of each, SPDIF in and out. Everything would appear to be on a common ground, btw.

I am thinking that one connection is used for consumer SPDIF whilst the other is professional level SPDIF.

Does anyone know what this is used for, or am I mis-reading the information?
