problems with mono

Hi everyone,

I've been recording some vocal tracks the last days. Like most people I've recorded them in mono. This has given me some problems:

After recording the track, I add a compressor. What then happens is that the track all of a sudden pans hard left.

To counter this, I choose "force mono processing of plugins". Problem solved - the track is panned center. But there is a catch:

When I use the pan button in the mixer window and try to pan the track say to the right , there is no result - the track is still panned to the center.

So what do you guys do? Is there a workaround for this other than to convert the recorded track to stereo?

regards,

David

Hi David,

I can say that become a "specialist" in this one....because I worked

long with this ..without a solution.

In fact its very easy....You selekt the objekt and in OBJEKT EDITOR you selekt by marking the checkbox L<->R and set the Pan Knob to BALANCE

Or you can do it with batch processing if you have a lot of objekts

Hope a solution for you

Christine

Thanks for sharing your experience!

I couldn't get this to work actually. The l<->r jusyte swapped the left and right channels. The pan knob just works like a volume knob in some strange way..
