Hello my fellow Samplitudians,

Is anyone here aware of Samplitude V8's file format compatibilities, specifically regarding it's ability to accurately Open/Import from - and Save/Export to - Nuendo or Pro Tools?

...Not merely the raw audio and midi files, mind you, but also the "session" and/or "project" files.

In other words, how effectively can Samplitude V8 be integrated into a production process, which may include other typical DAW systems, such as Pro Tools and Nuendo (and perhaps other major brands/file formats)?

One other question: Does anyone know whether or not Samplitude V8 will be able to read & write audio files that are sampled at 192kHz?

Thank you very kindly in advance,

Christopher Bentley

The native project files of all programs are of course not compatible with other programs. You need a professional translation program.

This seems to be the best in the moment and is often recommended from Samplitude guys: http://www.cuibono-soft.com/Products/EDL_C...onvert_v41.html

The program imports OMF and writes EDL project files. Samplitude loads and writes the EDL format. But you will loose of course all the realtime options from Samplitude (crossfades, fades, timestretching, pitchshifting ...), if the other program does not support it (Pro Tools/Nuendo).

Samplitude has supported 192khz files for a long, long time.

You have to double click the sample rate box and input values above 96khz manually.

At least you do in 6.x.

Cheers,

Brock

Of course yes. I think there are even higher samplerates possible.
